About LTDMX5

In 1980, Giles Fairweather carried out a 5 year apprenticeship to become a Motor Vehicle Technician, City & Guilds.

In 1985 he then moved from working at a Saab Dealership and went to work for Garney's & Hill Mazda Dealership in Ipswich, Suffolk.

Giles then worked on Mazda's for 5 years and was one of the first people to go on the launch course of the new MX-5. He left Garney's & Hill in 1990 and became a Race Mechanic for Saab GB.

When Giles' wife wanted a yellow sports car, he looked at the SLK but felt it had no soul to it, and eventually decided that the Mazda MX-5 would be the ideal car to fulfill all their needs. However there were a few things missing on the car from what was generally offered by other suppliers, and Giles felt these had to be developed to give the car the personality that they wanted.

From this LTDMX5 was born, its aim to source and supply all the bespoke MX-5 parts that simply can't be found anywhere else, and to make them available to other MX-5 owners.

With all the wealth of suppliers, manufacturers and contacts that Giles has picked up over the last 15 years, he has put this into good use sourcing a select range of respoke parts that he could not find off the shelf for the MX-5.

Combined with all that Mazda MX-5 experience is Abbott Racing. Abbott Racing is synonymous with Saab, but are putting all that experience in racing cars into improving and personalising your Mazda MX-5.

LTDMX5 are able to offer a comprehensive bespoke service in conjunction with Abbott Racing, for more details visit the Services page.
