4 Pot Brake Kit

For serious stopping power and visual impact, we have developed in conjunction with AP Racing, a 4 Pot Brake Kit for the front of the Mazda MX-5.

At Abbott Racing we have been racing Saloon Cars since 1982 and have been Saloon Car Champions in Production Saloon and Group N.

We have been working with AP Racing for 10 years and in developing a 4 Pot Brake Kit, specifically for your MX-5, we have paid particularly close attention to the overall weight of the car and brake bias setup.

This kit offers unrivalled braking performance, with fantastic performance if used on a track day or for serious performance drivers, giving the car zero brake fade in extreme conditions.

Driving the car around town you will feel very little difference in braking performance and does not grab when first applied from cold.

We have worked out the piston diameter on the calipers to compliment the rear braking set up, therefore, the rears can be left alone avoiding adding further expense.

The AP 4 Pot Brake Kit has been designed to go behind most 15", 16" and 17" wheels, fitting all models of Mark 1, Mark 2 and Mark 2.5.

The kit has also been designed so that the original back plate can be retained and the caliper has been designed to the original fixings on the hub upright, making it basically a straight swap with a single piston caliper.

Included in the kit:

• 2x Discs, left hand and right hand, these can be specified as drilled or grooved, standard will be drilled discs but for the serious track day enthusiast we recommend just the grooved disc
• Lug Mount 4 Pot Road Caliper, available in Red or Black in an advanced paint finish which protects against corrosion
• Stainless Steel Bridge Pipe
• Pad Abutments and Wear Plates fitted
• Pad Anti-Rattle Clip fitted
• 2x Bells
• Jurid Brake Pads
• Goodridge Hoses
• Hydraulic Fluid
• All fittings from AP Racing
• The AP Racing logo will be yellow for the black calipers and white for the red calipers
• Fitting instructions (to complete the transformation it should take a novice approximately 1 hour).
